About me

Hello, I’m B.T. Skylark — an author of heartfelt stories that often tiptoe between the magical and the deeply human. I live on the south coast of England, where the wind hums through the rooftops and the sea always seems to be whispering a new idea.

I’m proudly LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent, and both shape the way I see and write about the world. My stories are often rooted in themes of belonging, difference, courage, and quiet resilience — not because they are buzzwords, but because they are truths I’ve lived. I believe every reader, especially young ones, deserves to find themselves reflected in pages where imagination meets emotional honesty.

While my debut novel Crimson Wings: The Boy Who Flew is a children’s fantasy adventure, my writing is not limited by age group. I write across genres and audiences, always with one goal in mind: to tell stories that mean something.

If you’re a reader who has ever felt like an outsider, longed for escape, or found safety in stories — welcome. You belong here.
